Our club motto is 'Football is for everyone'. We know that the best football clubs are ones that give people opportunities from all walks of life, to play the great game we all love. We work hard to make sure that every member of our club feels valued and seen, and that they are playing football in a community that cares for them.
COMMUNITY INCLUSION CLUB OF YEAR 2024
Our club was ecstatic, in 2024 we received the 2024 Football Victoria Community Inclusion Award, which recognises football clubs that provided outstanding opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We were quoted as being the 'gold standard' for clubs in supporting Women and Girls, LGBTIQA+, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Refugees and Children with Disabilities across Victoria. We believe that the diversity of those within our club makes us stronger, we live, learn, grow and play together and make our part of the world a better place to be. We are excited for in 2025 as we expand these initiatives to ensure that every person has access to incredible football experiences, no matter who they are or where they come from.
We are proud of the work we do within the community each year, partnering with Footscray businesses and institutions that would benefit from our contributions as civic minded citizens of the Maribyrnong community. We are proud to have raised over $20,000 in funds for charitable causes since our inception in 2017. Some of the achievements we are most proud of are:

RANGERS REFUGEE PROGRAM
The club are very excited to be partnering with a range of community-based businesses to provide opportunities for people from refugee backgrounds, to play football when they otherwise may not be able to afford it.
All people who present a refugee/humanitarian visa will play at the club for free for the 2025 season.

RANGERS REFUGEE PROGRAM
The Rangers in 2024 welcomed 23 children and young adults to the club from a range of refugee and humanitarian backgrounds, to join our football programs free of charge.
Australia has a rich history of ingratiating people from around the world to make their community stronger, Footscray in many ways is one of the beating hearts of multiculturalism and inclusion in this respect. We are at our most proud when we have players standing side-by-side, united by the philosophy that football can bring us together in ways that nothing else can.
In 2024 we welcomed players from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Sudan, Cambodia and more, many of whom shared with us incredible stories of resilience in the face of incredible danger for them and their family. The gratitude of the players and families to receive the opportunity to play at our club, was an incredible reward in of itself. Football Victoria impressed with our work, undertook a write-up, interviewing and filming our players participating in regular training.
